When I started the business back in '91 my work truck was a 1969 Volkswagen Transporter single cab. It looked awesome, and was easily identifiable.

I drive a 2004 Dodge Neon. Actually Drove is a better term. Since getting the Vespa, it just sits in the driveway.

I don't have a picture of the two together, but I also have a classic (real) Mini - 1960 Morris Mini Minor, originally equipped with an 850 and 10" tires, now sporting a monster 1380 and rolling on 13" rubber. The only pic I can find of my scoot is from Christmas a couple years ago. The Mini is currently undergoing a restification (restoration + modification).

I'm afraid not. Our cars have always been very simple... no big performance or power windows, seats or locks... just basic transportation. We currently drive a 2000 Suzuki Esteem wagon. My wife calls it "The Steam Wagon"
I think that if either of us commuted to work we'd have a different attitude towards the car. The Vespas are making it's role much more limited. |

I think this is a very valid topic.... I have a Mac and used to own a Ford Ka right when it was released and people thought it looked "weird" - I thought AT LAST A SMALL COOL CHEAP CAR FOR THE CITY, see my mind was already going that direction
Now I live in London even a Ford Ka is too big. If I needed a tin box with 4 wheels or had a kid I would buy the electric G-Wizz made in California. They're everywhere here and most of the convenient points about scooters: - no Central London congestion charge - free parking in a lot of places in central London - fit in the snuggest spots no other car can fit - economical and in this case better than the vespa, ecological - cool and ahead of its time only trouble would be charging it as very few people benefit from private garage in their houses over here in the smoke. Even if I made a deal on my street that the spot in front of my house had to be left for me so I could stretch the lead into my power outlet I think it'd still be a bit of a challenge... In saying all this, funnily enough, my bf for example does not fit the category. He rides an Aprilia Scarabeo (not a Vespa, although he loves the Vespas he likes the value for money, performance and style of the Aprilias), he has a PC (although again, he loves my Mac, he still went and bought an Acer So there you go I think we all have a lot more in common than we think |

And those awesome Mopars.... very unique & obviously have a lot of work & dedication in them. (Yes...that includes the much maligned & unloved Dodge Neon mentioned in one of the posts.........) Just my 2 cents..... |

I don't have a unique car but I thought it was kind of funny when I drove up to the Ferrari dealership, which houses the Vespa dealership in my Saturn Ion. Boy did I feel out of place!

Here are my 64' Pedo's.
I own both a L/H and R/H drive model. They take me anywhere the GT can't go. When I hit the road I own a variety of rubber that I put on depending on the weather. My preference at the moment is a pair of 2008 Campers. In the summer I go lite with a pair of 06 Billabong FlipFlops.
