Hi,

Just bought a 2006 Vespa LX150 and was wondering about cleaning it. Sounds like a silly question I know, but is there anything special that you all do to clean your Vespa?

Cheers,
Sam.

welcome to the forum. Great choice on the LX your going to LOVE it. I never actually wash mine with soap and water. I use honda spray cleaner and wax it's a combined product, cleaner and wax in the same can. I use the one with the flurocarbons not the new one. Then about every 2 weeks i put a good coat of wax on and use maguire's. Have fun with that new scooter of yours

Hi, and welcome ...

Looks like someone beat you to it today with "Another Redundent Cleaning Question". Check out that thread for some cleaning advice, too.

Judy, you wax every two weeks???? I thought I was bad!

Cheers,
Alice

Vespa is soooo easy to clean compare to say...my SUV

Just go to Pep Boys or any of the automotive stores, get a bunch of microfiber cloth and a spray on detailer (I like Mothers or McGuire) and it takes about 20 minutes to clean the entire scooter.

I would start from the top: handle bars, light housing first, then to the front, then the two sides. I like to leave the front wheel well and the under carriage last, so all the dirt & sand that gets wiped off will not scratch up the other area with the same cloth.
