Indeed Judy. My kids always remind me how silly and excited I get for this Holiday and I do. I love the whole deal, the bbq, friends, family and USA celebration. This one never gets old for me, very excited.

We had fireworks tonight and will have for the next 11 nights. Nothing to do with the 4th of July though. It's Stampede.

Might have to swig back some Old Milwaukee's tomorrow and help you all celebrate. I took the day off to work on my American-made Cushman anyways.

It's the 4th here already,so my traditional best wishes to all you colonials.

2007GTS, looks like I may be going to Denver that day we talked about playing golf. Sure you don't want a PX too? hehehe I will miss my White ET4. I'll get the rim protectors and we'll change your tires soon, I have a new set coming for my GT, I went back to the stock Pirelli's. How is the Polini Variator doing?

I completed/passed my MSF course last weekend and picked up my interim license from DMV yesterday. All just in time to enjoy riding on the 4th!

Congrats on the course completion...and remember the highways and roads can be really hectic on this weekend (lots of temporarily insane drivers)..so be extra cautious as you start to try out your brand new skills.

If the GTS 300 is going to come out I am going to get that but if it does I would get the PX. I am pretty sure the 300 is going to come out so I better hold off on not getting the PX. I LOVE THEM! Let me know if you cannot find anyone to go with you and I will ride up with you. Thanks for the update n the tires.

TOCHMAN congrats. Well done and enjoy the ride. 2007GTS were having a neighborhood bbq. Fireworks later since we don't really have many rules on them It will be a minor show tonite since new years eve is our BIG fireworks nite. The island looks like San Fran on a foggy day Have fun all. JENMOM

Judy, you are having a neighborhood BBQ? I have seen these in the movies but never went to one. I would give anything to go to one someday. I missed out on holidays growing up so as an adult I find these even more rewarding. Have a wonderful 4th to you and your family and be safe with the fireworks.

Thanks, everyone! I decided to take it slow and easy. I figure Treasure Island would be enough of a test run since I haven't ridden on freeways yet.

I'm glad I made it back safely! The wind wasn't as bad as the grooves on the bridge. Perhaps it's the stock tires that it came with or I'm just not used to it. I felt like I was gliding on water. Nonetheless, I kept at a comfortable speed without holding up traffic (light today).

I enclosed proof I was there. My GTS is still under a few mods pending delivery. I will send more pix and share what I've done on a separate post. Until then, here's a sneak peek.

Happy 4th, all!!!

Just got back from our local parade, 1- Vino? and 1 big Yamaha, My friend called the Yamamha an automatic motorcycle, I said no its a big scooter.

Let me guess. It was a Yamaha FJR AE model with an automatic shifter?

For the 4th, my wife and I finished painting our garage, rode the Vespa's to Panera Bread for lunch, then to Cold Stone Ice Creamery for dessert and will be cooking out for dinner and staying home. If I'm lucky I'll get to make my own fireworks later tonight, Hubba, Hubba!

Maybe, but it was about 13 years ago I "got lucky" we named him Drew.

I'm lucky to be in the US for July 4th and spent the day at the Fiddlers' Jamboree in Smithville, TN. Didn't see a single scooter, though: wrong crowd, entirely, I think!
