I've got a picture I would like to use. I figured out how to get it down to 128 x 128 but have no idea how to reduce it from approximately 60KB

do u have microsoft office 2003 / 2007?

if so you should hav microsoft office picture manager.

click start / microsoft office / microsoft office tools / then m.o.picture manager.

open picture file.

click edit pictures tab on top.

compress files.

select one of settings then ok, then click save.

done......

I don't have Micro$oft office; thanks anyway.

I decided to give it a try at 58.5 KB even though I thought it would be rejected
and lo and behold it worked.

For Windows users, Irfanview is your friend at The Right Price.

I have windows vista basic, but you can stil lower, right click on the pic, then open with, then open with paint.
then at the tip of the page click image, then resize skew.
end results the same 8)

I used windows Paint that comes with every windows and just changed the stretch to the same % horizontally and vertically and it worked, for my first still motion avatar.

The only thing I miss about windows was MS Paint. It's a great little tool for quickndirty graphics stuff.
