Hi All-
So yesterday a buddy and I decided to take the 150's to go get fireworks for the 4th of July celebration and on the way there we were doing about 50MPH and my left mirror came flying off my scoot and almost hit my bud behind me. Kinda weird because only the actual mirror flew off leaving the chrome round housing intact that connects to the swing arm.

So anyway; we made a detour to the local Vespa dealer to get a new mirror (free of course) and noticed they now have the Prima exhausts on display for $399.00

My god since I walked in there and saw that shinny new thingy I can't get it off my mind off of it, so soon as they open this morning I'm going to go get it and rush right home and install it

I haven't heard any sound bytes with it on an LX so I will try to capture one and post along with pics of course.

Not really looking forward spending $400 this morning and I'm already having buyers remorse

Hehe-- The pipe itself I like, I was only referring to spending the $399. It seems whenever I spend over $100 on anything I always think to myself 'gee do I really need this?'

Alright 2hrs. for installation do to hard to reach nuts up under the scoot but it looks very nice IMO. A very throaty sound indeed, this will take some getting used to.

So what do you think?

Oh I and failed to mention. Come to find out the $399 included installation but since I installed it myself it came down to $350. So still a little more then scooterworks but if I have issues with it I can just take it back locally.

Very nice!

I just ordered one yesterday for my GTS.

So, does the muffler come off the engine pipe at that small clamp under the black plastic part on the motor?

Oh yeah, I'd have sprung an extra fiddy if I could've gone and picked it up like, NOW.

Thanks dude! I'm still trying to get used to the new throaty sound it produces, so as of now I don't think I'll be getting rid of the stock exhaust as of yet.

It actually detaches from directly under the scoot by unscrewing two nuts. After you have them unscrewed then you have about two more alan bolts on the side. Very easy to install but I do recommend doing it while the scoot is cool, I learned the hard way OUCH!

I know I'm being a little picky here but looking at the pipe I notice it sticks out a tad bit further then the license plate. I really can't slip it further up the pipe because of the clamp meeting up with the flange. It kinda bugs me

I'm not sure, but I believe you cannot put it in a LX50. Unless someone here has tried it already. If it fits, I'm buying it.

I would imagine living in CA you could find someplace that has them in stock. It seems EVERYTHING I buy online comes out of CA. You guys got it going on.

I had my Toronto dealer install one for me for under $400. cad all in.
(They had it shipped up to Canada from Scooterworks)

First problem that happened was the rubber like bracket gasket vibrated out,
Then I noticed that they didn't install the second screw on the exhaust bracket.

I took the scooter back and had them install the second screw but the gasket
is now gone forever and I may have to get a new screw replaced on the
bracket because it isn't a chrome screw. (Certain metals don't play nice)

Despite the problems, This is a very nice and loud pipe,
Way better than the LV but very similar to the Scorpion pipe.

Now my battery doesn't seem to be charging properly,
I'm thinking of up jetting to get my rpm's up,
Hopefully this will help to charge the battery properly.

Since I installed mine myself I know exactly which screw you're referring to. As I was doing the installation I asked myself if I really needed it and I'm glad I put it on. It looks to provide the bracket with extra bite to hold the pipe in place.

There were discussions regarding whether or not there was a noticeable performance increase with the PM. Initially I did not notice any but I just came back from a long ride and I do notice a pretty substantial increase in the mid to top end. When I hit 40-45MPH and open it up I get to 70 much faster and do not feel like I'm running out of throttle nearly as fast than the stock pipe.

Now I'm still not quite sure about the sound it produces. It makes for a very nice ride driving long distances; however it seems to annoy me somewhat just putting around the neighborhood.
I don't feel as stealthy with it being this loud.

So I decided the aftermarket exhaust wasn't for me so I took it off and put the stock exhaust back on.

The pipe itself looks sweet on the scoot but I just couldn't get used to the sound. If interested I have it listed on the for sale forum.
