Actually, now that I've looked over there again,
we have three (3) nominations and one fully official contestant (an MP3! ) |

Come on guys... I know in your hearts that you think those MP3s are uugggly!!
Brutescoot's MP3 is definitely going to win the July scooter contest unless it gets some worthy competition! A really ugly noncontender (that might win anyway if we have enough Trekkies here):

Still at seven (count them, 7) great contestants
Although the number will rise if a couple of owners second their nominated scooters Our newest noncontender is definitely a charming European, despite being pink and having a two-tone paint job A Vespa Elestart 50 from 1975 and eBay Italy:

I would probably have removed the warning stickers first though. (Thank you, Benito... I was out on my scooter) Actually, I am really liking the diversity of the entries this month And all the contestants are clearly cherished by their owners and reflect their very different personal perspectives on scootering Looks like we're going to have another great contest! |

I think that beatrixx has a very nice scooter with a unique look. I'd like to nominate it if it hasn't yet been in the running.

As for pc mommys scoot, let her in, sure its stock, I doubt she thinks she'll win, but its prob exciting for her just to enter. For that reason, Im ok with her entering. My suggestions to voters: Dont be dazzled just by custom paint, look for the small details and other custum modifications done by the proud owners. No matter what scoot you choose please vote, even if one doesnt win, it still nice to see the votes. Manny |

Greetings, fellow scooterists!
![]() Looks like there are three (3) points that I need to clarify 1. Nominations need to be posted over at: !! Nominations for July Scooter Contest !! 2. Once nominated, the scooters become official contestants only after their owner seconds the nomination, again at: !! Nominations for July Scooter Contest !! 3. There are already nine contestants, so there will be a run-off contest this month to determine the five (5) finalists (who will be the five contestants that win the most votes in the run-off poll) I've structured the contest this way so that anyone who is a MVer in good standing and who cherishes their "modern scooter" can enter And given the entries we already have, I'm expecting to see five really great scooter finalists!! A word of warning here: There are no expert judges, so the best scooter may not even be chosen as a finalist Many of the contenders have threads explaining how they implemented their designs and other unique features I'm hoping this helps their chances, as it did help Evil Monkey to win the June contest But you never know... So I'm hoping that the contestants will all enjoy taking part, whether or not they win and view this mainly an opportunity to celebrate & showcase their scooter's uniqueness |

Nominations for July Scooter Contest !! ) Once a scooter is nominated, it can be seconded by anyone who likes it (but over on the Nominations Thread) But each scooter's owner must second their own scooter before it can become an official candidate The point of the owner's second is to show that they know it's a candidate in the contest and that they approve But... If you know the owner and know that they want to be in the contest but can't get to a computer to post their second before the 12th, when the Nominations Thread closes, then please PM me about it Thanks, Linda |
