Modern Vespa

I have been looking for an original piaggio leather top case for my GTV. I ran across this one from the vespa e-store. is this the real deal? I didn't think this top case was being manufactured anymore and that I would have to resign myself to buying one off of Ebay at some ungodly price.

I'm thinking that it's not legit. I have called both numbers. The 24 hour number is a random girl's cell phone. She seemed pleasant enough, but didn't know anything about the store. The 888 number is disconnected. Keep looking, my friend.

This site has been posted a few times here. It used to direct the buyer to the Vespa USA site if one actually went through the checkout process. I seem to remember somebody ordering it and not getting ripped off , but not getting a topcase either. And I vaguely remember some people here talking about having some sort of hassle and deciding it was at the very least a dead site.

An hour with the search will turn up something ... but basically will be a waste of your time. They aren't being made at the moment.

Don't try to order one through there.

Made in real leather. Not the original ones though.... But if you can live without the Vespa logo, this surely is an alternative.
