Modern Vespa

My GT200 is "Francesca," after Meryl Streep's character in "Bridges of Madison County." She was an Italian war bride who settled on a farm in Iowa with her husband, but after a chance meeting of the world-travelling Clint Eastwood's National Geographic photographer character, she found herself falling in love with him. Meryl Streep added 30 pounds for that role, and my Vespa's rear end reminds me of that "Francesca." The vinyl decals are also reflective at night.

The woman at my dealer said they had to have names it was lucky. I was thinking of an italian name and came up with Isabella. My husband added the Vespallini - Isabella Vespallini. We call her Izzy for short.
My husband has an R6 and he won't name it. I called it The Beav for a while (it's a Canadian edition and beavers are a Canadian symbol). but he didn't like that, so I just call it "your bike".

My BF's (read mine) is called Pixie.. because she's a PX and Pixie coloured...

My daring plum lx150 is "Lucy". She just looks like a Lucy...

My GTS250 is Black and his name is Vincenzo or Vincent depending on how clean he is.

My scoot's name is Gigi. I'll see if it sticks.

I'm usually pretty bad at the name thing, and usually end up calling it by what it actually is. I tried desperately tried to come up with a hip and cool name for my Airstream awhile back. But I couldn't seem to get past calling it "The Trailer".

Call me unimaginative I guess...

Mine is called Balls McCoy. Just kidding.

I was at a rally once and someone yelled " Jump on El Fira (fi -ra) and get go'n) the name stuck. I still call it MY Scoot, or The Scoot.

We call our GTS, "Sophia"......as in Sophia Lauren.
She's sleek, beautiful and has nice curves.

i gave my scoots names but i never refer to them as such... usually LX or GTS. husband calls them reddy and blackie. i named my car Mary (Bloody Mary, it's red) when i firt got it, but i call it The Jet Cruiser

I named him "Gilbert" as soon as I saw him.

The name for my new LX150 just came to me this morning as I was getting ready to ride off to work: Moto Giallo, Moto for short - "Hello Moto"...

I've named mine "The Jolly Roger" with it being all black I put a reflective skull and crossbones sticker on my helmet to complete the image.
