My original Perelli rear is almost worn out at less than 2500 miles. I hope the Michelins I put on next have better wear. The fronts still look good for another 2000 miles or so.

I was told, way back when, that stock tires are "stickier". Wonderful on traction, not so good on mileage. If you buy the exact same tires as it came with, I would expect the exact same mileage.

And you have to be religious about checking your tire pressure. I'm not as good at that as I should be.

2.4K miles on my 500 and the rears have about 20% tread life left. Looks like 3K is all I can expect from them. I believe its a Michelin Gold....
