You folks are all so spoiled!

You trip over your Vespa dealers. I have a 30 minute ride to mine including highway and city driving. I've been considering a Scarabeo but just realized that I'd need to go over 45 minutes and take a 65 MPH highway for support which is a particular drag since I'd mainly be going when it needs service!

+1 is does seem quite the luxury to have your pick of Vespa hangouts.
mine is 45 minutes away or a 1 1/2 hr drive to Boston with parking hassles included.

I personally enjoy living in the clean and green state of New Hampshire...
just remember... THEY are surrounded with " Californians"

Lomunchi is correct.
You don't remember how few dealarships or repairshops were around in the past. I lived in Marin, Corte Madera to be exact and would skateboard past this location all the time as a teenager and now I am off point.
My point was that when I bought my first Vespa it was through 1st Kick Scooters. Well sort of, Eric Halladay ran a repair shop out of his parents garage in Fairfax. Later he got the DBA and moved to Berkeley. You can imagine that getting repairs were a tough deal.

So be grateful.

Added frustration that you CA folks may not have. There's only one Aprilia dealer in the state that carries Scarabeo. They have only 1 500ie and they won't let anyone test ride it.

What's a boy to do! I'm so jealous of you CA folks right now.

as was stated above... it's probably too expensive to lease a place with better visibility. I know that's my problem with the business I'm opening. I'm just hoping that I'll be able to move to a "better" location asap.
Wouldn't you be better to save, wait and get in the "better" location in the first place? they say over 50% of new business's fail in the first year, I would hate that to be you because you opened in the wrong spot.

Just something to ponder, obviously nobody is privy to your new business dynamics however very good luck to you indeed when you open the door.

i was there yesterday and quite a few of their vespas had "this vespa is sold" signs on them. it's a nice space and the upstairs will carry a large inventory of accessories. and, tom is a really decent fellow.

Hey VespaMarinites, let me add my welcome to the neighborhood. I'm glad to see the shop will handle all the routine service stuff, it'll be much handier for those of us on this side of the GGB.

Can't wait for the first shop ride!
