Not really. I just bought some Hiedenau tires from SF Scooter Center. Barry asked me to post, so here goes.
First, the reason I am putting tires on when the old ones are not worn out. I am not happy about the weird handling of the Shinko whitewalls. They chase rain grooves like no other tire I have ever seen. If you don't go on the freeway much, I am sure they are fine. I ride on the freeway a lot.
I like to do as much of my own work as I can. No other tire has been more difficult to mount than the Hiedenau. I scratched my front rim putting it on. I took the rear to Cycle Gear and had them mount it for $30. They couldn't balance it because it didn't need it!
Too soon to tell how they will handle, but the low-speed GTS wobble is gone! Not even a hint. They seem to need a bit more force to change direction and like to continue leaning until a little opposite force is applied.
Oh yeah, the front is a 120 model 58P. The rear is a 130 K66.
Leaving for Tahoe in the morning. I'll post more later. Anyone need a set of 12" whitewalls with about half the tread left?
