Modern Vespa

After a couple months of lurking and using the resources here on MV, I thought I should finally get a post in.

Got myself a 2003 ET4 a couple months ago and have been riding around with a permit but finally completed the MSF class and got my Class M license last week. (I considered both the LX150 and ET4 but after seeing them, totally preferred the latter....for those shopping now...be patient, the right one will come along).

Rode to work for the first time today after months of sitting at traffic lights in my cage anxiously looking at the big open space between lanes. I must admit that I primarily considered the scoot for the commute but in the weeks following its purchase it has really turned into an obsession. Today's drive to work confirmed that as when I got there after my 15 mile ride, I was already craving the drive home.

It's been great reading all the posts here and having MV as a resource is awesome.

That's awesome. You know, it's become an obsession for me, too, but I am glad to have a great new hobby! I don't have mine yet, but I can't wait to start riding daily. I go home for lunch almost every day, too, so i get 2 round trips

Congrats and welcome! You know the only bad thing about legal lane-splitting is that you get to where you're going faster and don't get to spend as much time on the scoot! This used to annoy the hell out of me in Rome...when a normal 30 minute ride would turn into 10 mins. I actually like having to take things slower here, but then again there's no traffic in Cleveland.

Congratulations!! Soon you'll be having to do more and more "errands" and "forgetting" things you needed at the store too.
