Tentative answer: Yes!

I cranked it up 10 Nm from the specified 60 Nm and no more slipping. Wondering if another 10 Nm will get rid of the occasional shudder, as well?

I would tend to say no.

The clutch is controlled by spring.

I find with my new Kevlar belt I get slippage.

I didn't have it with the original OEM belt.

I think mine is in the belt.

<edit> A cleaning of the shoes and their mating surface with brake cleaner may do some good.

Thanks. I did that 3 times with no noticeable improvement and went ahead and replaced the clutch bell with a new one. I have a feeling my clutch locking tool was too flimsy to apply proper torque. Cranking it up a bit has solved the slippage. Now I just get a bit of shudder.
