Im still trying to figure out what Vespa I want to get.. At first I was set on getting the LX150 but the other day I got on a GTS250 and I really loved the Get up and Go that it had....

I dont really like the look of the GTS as much as the LX150... But I think I would really enjoy it more with a lil more power...

Can you change the seat out on the 250 to a tan seat like the LX's have??

You've answered your own question...if you're having these thoughts already, you will absolutely always be wanting more go-go juice if you're on the 150.

I don't think the seat swap works either but I'll let one of the GTS gang field that one.

The GTS seat comes in tan or black, so you should be able to get a tan one by speaking to the dealer, if the color you want doesn't already come with it.

lot depends what kind of riding you do, the 150 engine is great for city and non interstate primaries. The GTS can go pretty much anywhere

Go for the GTS. You'll be unhappy with the power of the 150. The 250 is a very nice riding machine and is superior at speed.

i agree with all of them /\

i got the lxv-150 and my boyfriend got the gts 250.
mine was so attractive so i thought i had the better deal until i got on his.
the pick-up was amazing and the ride was much smoother.

i still loooooove mine, but i notice the lag and have trouble keeping up when he leads.

I also love the leader 150 engine, I have done several 500 mile trips on my LT-150. The engine is air cooled, easier to work on (you can easily do your own valve adjustments) and is well proven in the field. The GTS is a wonderful scooter but don't think just because an engine is smaller your not going to like it. Once broken in you can go 60 all day long

too slow? Did you feel like you could go more places? Maybe a little more confident on the rode and going in 55mph zones?

I too liked the look of the 150 better (svelte) as the GTS looked a little fat to me. Well, I'm a big fat guy and I needed to get the heck out of the way of bozos if need be. At least with a GTS, people won't stop to take pictures of some fat guy on a 150 (circus act?). Love the power if needed, but haven't needed it so far. Good luck

My wife had an lx125 and I liked it fine, but now that I have the GTS I could never go back down in power aside from on a vintage bike.

I have an LX and have absolutely loved it. I will, however, be getting a GTS next year! The problem then will be: what will I lust for next?

I am a huge fan of the 150 bikes and have never had any desire for a 250. I am of the opinion that sometimes more isn't. KnowwotImean?

I drove both and went with the 250- The diff is also fuel injection (250) vs a carb (on the 150, I think). Makes a diff.

I bought a LX 150 in April '07

I bought a GTS 250 in August '07

I sold the LX 150 in January '08

You will be much happier with the GTS... there's just so many little things you don't think of that make the difference between the two:

glove box lip
tool storage in glove box
larger underseat storage
two helmet hooks
better bag hook
electronic seat latch
all digital display
larger seat for 2-up riding
luggage rack is standard
no dorky turn signals
larger fuel tank

and that barely touches on performance,

front and back disk brakes
fuel injected
liquid cooled
beats any car off the line
80 mph...

you want a GTS.

edit: forgot to add that the GTS' fuel guage actually works.

Coming from another who had the LX before the GTV (same engine as the GTS), I wish I would have just started out with the GTV to save a few dollars! The LX is great, don't get me wrong but the GTV is great! Good luck with your decision making!

Same here! I had a LX then decided on a GTS after taking my husband's GT on the freeway. HUGE difference in handling. Plus all the handy extras.

I absolutely love my ET4; however, I haven't yet ridden the GTS250. My friend recently bought one and offered to let me ride it , but I knew if I rode it, I would feel like I "needed" the extra get up. I didn't ride, and I'm content witht the 150. Since you've already felt the power, you might regret not going with the 250.

Boy did I want a GTS 250. But since this is my first scooter and I'm sharing with my 5' wife, we went with an LXV 150. She just didn't feel comfortable perched on the bigger bike. Love the retro looks and leather seat of the LXV, but the LX is great looking too. I know once my wife and I start fighting over it, I'll need to get me a GTS of my own. javascript:emoticon('') For now the 150 is great great fun and really functional for trips to the store and commuting to work. I'm 6'1" and 190lbs and it has all the power I need for the expressways, back roads and city streets. I would never take it on the highway though.

For me it was size. I'm big-boned, and I wanted something that would pull me without getting tired or hot. I have the GT200 and I love it.

I can get right up to 50 with no problems and I can pass and swerve and maneuver...it works for my fat ass.

However, if you're a smaller person then the smaller engine size might just work out for you fine.

I bought an LX150 as I was away from riding for almost 5 years and my inseam was not long enough so I was worried about that extra weight. Sold it less than 3 weeks later and got a GTS250.

Regrets? Not really cuz those 3 weeks brought back my confidence in riding again.

I think you'll be fine either way but the extra power will surely bring alot of fun.
