I use a car washing brush made for a car and car wash soap diluted as if I were washing a car. I use this method for everything on the bike the brush will reach and then use microfiber rags for the tight/detail spots. Rinse with a hose and dry. I apply 303 Aerospace Protectant once or twice a year to the seat. This seals and UV protects the material. 303 is sold at hot tub supply and truck stop like shops. For the paint I use spray on detailer type wax.

I use only water with a little Ivory soap on everything. Then I shine the shiny parts with Mother's.

Clean the seat? I just use an old T-shirt to dry it if it has rained.

What crap is on it that it needs cleaning?

LOL at jimc. Let's hope it is not "crap" literally. Although i have seen instances where it would be possible at bike week in Daytona. Laughing emoticon Laughing emoticon

I can think of a bunch of witty comebacks for that but they are all boorish. But my cat does the same to mine....she seems to be fascinated by my 250 and i have seen her sitting on the pillion many times. Why do you think she does that? Maybe she has the soul of a biker? Laughing emoticon

There's a cat named Phazer who lives at the dealership where I bought my MP3. Of course he (she?) thinks that he owns every single bike there. I saw him sleeping contentedly on a Suzuki's saddle as well as my MP3. Very friendly (when awake), and a great salesman.

treats!

I park my scoot in a carport, and I always have a couple of prints on the seat. I'm never sure which of the 20 cats that live out there were on it. When the scoot was brand new, I had a cover for it, and I surprised a raccoon when I was pulling it off. I don't use the cover - thankfully, it was one of baby raccoons. The dad is HUGE...

If a raccoon got near my mp3 i would shoot it....well not really but i would really tell it off and give it a stern look. By the way do you live in a petting zoo or something?

Close - I live in the hill country outside of San Antonio. I love it, once I figured out how to get off the hill I live on (VERY steep, especially for a chicken like me).

My closest neighbor is about 1/2 mile away - he has a family of foxes that come out to eat every night or so. I have the cats that people have dumped in the area and they have made it to my place. The racoons saw a good thing when they saw it - they actually wait at the top of the side stairs, until the cats finish eating. There are horses (but I prefer my scoot), and although I have never seen her, I know there is a cougar that comes up from Mexico every year. I've seen her pawprints in the creek (bottom of the property), and heard her cry when she is hunting. too cool.

The zoo part is the daughter and her friends - they come out and camp on the lower part of the property (we have a drum circle down there on the rocks). They like the hot tub we have on the front deck (you can see the milky way on a clear night). Nice way to end the day.
