I just took my baby out for my first ride and when I turned it off there is a red light blinking at that bottom of the right center gauge it would not shut off. What is the problem. I am sure it is something simple.
Thanks for your help.

Probably the immobilisers indication light, I think it blinks every 2-3 second after key is removed and eventually stops blinking after 48hrs to save battery.

Just a warning to thieves that the ignition has been disabled.

Nothing to worry about. (unless you are the thief trying to steal the bike)

Hi indiocrowe

I'd say it is the immobiliser light as well. Perhaps now you're home, sit down and read the owner's manual. Don't be daunted, the part relevent to English speakers is only about 30 pages long - and most of that is taken up by precautionary warnings.

Laugh at some of the 'interesting' English and learn how to do basic preventative maintenance checks to your precious, new ride.

The manual also tells you more about the immobiliser and the blinking light. Technically, your dealer probably should have explained that feature of the bike briefly to you when you took delivery of it. I know mine did, even though I purchased a Vespa from them a few years ago.

It's the indicator light to tell you "It's time to be riding!"

That's cute! I think it is saying, "wait, don't you want to play some more?"
