A moderately common post is - I'm too short for x scoot, what can I do? There was a recent post showing how you could have an existing boot built up but I was on another forum and a woman there posted this boot:

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/2/45/2213/ITEM/Icon-Womens-Bombshell-Boots.aspx

that I had not seen mentioned before. I'm a guy, and ladies - they look real sexy to me!

Hope this helps!

And exactly how is that boot going to help a short woman? Oh, WAIT, I see now. They force you to stand on your toes all the time. Great idea Just add black fish net stockings and a mini skirt and you're set to ride Eyelashes emoticon

Those are sexy... but I worry that it would be easy to wrench one's ankle in them

Myself, I lust after these
(which might have similar issues, but sooooo cool!):

Harley-Davidson Natchez Boots

But the best ones I have for short folks is this pair:

They are hiking boots with nice stiff ankles and
a stiff sole that makes it easy to get a good grip with just your toes
(Yup, my scooter is too big for me)

I have huge feet, so I thought it was interesting when I found a bunch of crazy gothic platform boots in men's sizes. Now short men can look oh so fab!

Once again, yes these are for men. Or trannies. Or women with big feet.

I wear Frye classic harness boots in the summer. I've had these boots for years and they just get better with age.

And mostly Ugg boots in the winter. I purchase a new pair every year so I have quite the collection.

The Fry's give me a little boost; the Uggs none. I'm nowhere near flatfooting my GT but I love having a bigger scoot.

I have tried on the Bombshells. They are pretty, but not useful to me as a rider. I already stand on my toes and the balls of my feet, so having a high heel does not help. They have a thinner patterned sole, while I prefer a large, grippy sole. They are also awkward to walk in.

I wear Fluevog Tates, Fluevog Cowboy and Ariat riding boots.
Many horse riding boots are being made today with rounded toes, grippy soles and non-brown designs.

I like these. I've been looking around for a boot that covers my ankle for the MSF course since all mine have probably a 5" heel and wouldn't be acceptable. These may work!

They are super comfy and normal on/off. I call them my "summer" boots because they are shorter than my others. They slide on with a little push, and pull off with a little poof. I can get them off using the toe of one to push on the heel of the other, but takes effort. (Not super slidey=good.) The color selection is pretty good. Go to a local Boot Barn type place to try on. The boutique horse stores generally have to order them.

Boot lust must be satisfied, and paige's collection's a winner.

My standby, and it helps with the inseam-challenge, are my Italian MC boots by Sidi, the Violet. Armored toe, 100% waterproof, extra anklebone padding, side zipper for easy access, and of course Italian styling.

i have found i do not like riding in my cowboy boots. but do not own the fatbabys. [the ones shown here]. [fatbabys are for on the farm. people in upper end western apparel DO NOT wear them in public. i think however if you are not in an industry of boot snobbery, you will rather enjoy them.]

I hate riding scooters in regular cowboy boots. The leather soles and pointy toes are not conducive to balancing on. I have not yet met anyone with both horses and scooters, so I guess i will not worry about the declasse aspect of my boots.

Paige, my wife has a pair of the Fluevogs very similar to the first ones you posted that she bought a half dozen years ago and still loves.

I'm glad this thread helped to stimulate the posting of boots, I know the frustration that can be caused by not having enough leg reach.

lastbest - I think we've had the frye conversation before. I'm about to put mine on and head out to lunch! I ended up with giraffe legs so can flatfoot in fryes off my gt. Toesies with hiking boots.

New pair of boots every year is brilliant!!!

I wore these for my MSF and they were great. They feel like a shoe, and are good for walking/running/hiking/cycling...but are still over the ankle and feel very nice.

Sounds good to me. Just be sure the fish net stockings are made of kevlar, for abrasion protection! Toreador Pants! Laughing emoticon

I'm 5'1" - and have those Icon Bombshell boots. They certainly help.

Personally I really like wedge boots - find 'em pretty comfy.
