I've been wanting a vespa for a while now, and finally bought a 2nd hand 2007 GTV with 500 miles on the clock last week.

I just noticed that the rear right cowl has no 'GTV 250ie' badge as I have seen on most other GTV's on this site.

There are no signs of removal or anything untoward (at least on the right hand side). This is a 2007 model, is it possible it came from the factory like that or what else could explain this?

Thanks

they fall off or get peeled off. My GT200L badge fell off - I was kinda gutted at first (mainly due to the fact it wasn't made of metal).

Now when I stop at lights over riders ask me what power my scoot is. I make it up, depending on how I feel and if I want to piss them off when I accelerate away from them at the lights Razz emoticon

It ain't a major deal, you can buy additional badges. Someone on here sells them I think?

ps. nice scoot by the way - are you sure it is a 250?

LOL, don't be too mean to him, he's new!

Welcome to Modern Vespa, great place to hang around if you're into Vespas. The badges are chrome covered foamy stuff and just sticks on. Within a week of ownership my Vespa badge on the leg shield started to come off. The dealership replaced it under warranty, but after seeing that, I'm extra careful when washing and drying the scoot.

No worries - de-badged is where it's at.

"Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!"

Seriously, its a gorgeous scooter and rare enough you're probably the only one who would ever know it was missing. Well ... you would'a' been if you hadn't blabbed to all of us on MV.

I took mine off to give it that more vintage vespa look. They come off easy after a good long ride in day. I think Motorsports has the replacement badges.
