How do I get the codes from the ECU? (2007 GTS250ie) I have the check engine light on when the engine is under a small load. It runs great all the time. It goes out at idle and steady throttle.

Where is a good source for a shop manual

As far as I know, the only way to read out the engine codes is with the VTSD scan tool, available from Motorsport Scooters. There might be some other tool that reads the code without all the extra stuff that the VTSD scan tool provides, but it's a nice bit of kit nonetheless -- performs some ECU diagnostic tests, triggers some subsystems (again for diagnosis) and provides some cool readouts about what's actually happening in the engine.

The shop manual is also available from MotorSport Scooters, or you can download the PDF from our Technical Library here: [topic630]
