So, I just noticed today that my speedometer is getting a little sticky with ~700mi on the clock, to the point where I stop, and the thing still says I'm moving. Anyone else have that happen to ya?

I googled up some occurrences of this on the GTS, but not on the LX150 much. I haven't dug around much, but assume that the speedo cable is pretty obvious under the leg shield. Planning on giving it a little squirt of graphite lube over the weekend.

FYI, removing the glovebox on the LX150 is somewhat of a pain... Not technically difficult, just laborious. If you're going to go all that way to lube a cable, you might as well track down a Stebel Nautilus locally or a 12V outlet to install "while you're in there." How-Tos are in the Tech Library.

Hmm...a fog horn might be a nice addition. But ya know...I'm not sure I'm ready for the responsibility of causing heart attacks in the little old ladies who cut me off. I mean, that horn is friggin' loud. You get these wide-eyed reactions like they're about to get run over by a semi, and basically stop in their tracks like deer in headlights.

I might rip up the floorboard to install my zumo though...hmmm

Do scooters dream of zipping around the sky?

Come to think of it...I have *no* idea what my fuel gauge is doing most of the time. I fill up, and it's sorta hovering between half and full...I get till I *know* I'm on fumes (filled up with more than 1.5gal), and I've only seen the gas light blink on once for one thousandth of a second. It's got me thinking "Ya, there's something wrong with that boy" too. Maybe that needs a little lubing?? I've never lubed a fuel gauge before...

Judy,

There is a fix for that under warranty. Needs a new fuel float in the tank. Pretty easy r/r for your local Vespa shop. We keep that inexpensive part in stock if they have a problem procuring it.

Best,

Had the same thing at about 3000 mi. Dealer said it had nothing to do with the cable, but mentioned something about a magnet in the speedo unit.
They replaced the whole dash under warranty.
