I bought a used LX150 and there is quite a bit of grime on the wheels and some of the other metal parts. Any recommendations on a cleaner? What I'm using isn't strong enough - but I don't want to get carried away either. Also there is a bunch of gunk - I guess oil - on the entire bottom of the scooter. I hope this is from the road and not the scooter. Is it worth cleaning the bottom of the scooter? What products/techniques work for cleaning the bottom of the scooter?
The painted part that shows (not the bottom) looks good.

Whatever you decide to use to clean up the underside of the scooter,
1) don't let that towel/rag/sponge/brush touch any other part of the scooter, and
2) throw it away when you're done cleaning, or set it aside to be used only to clean that part of the scooter again - nothing else!
As for wheel cleaners, I have tried so many different products, and I am *really* partial to the wheel cleaner offered by Griot's Garage. A spray bottle of the stuff comes with a yellow sponge that makes for fantastic sudsing of the cleaner, and it rinses clean like nothing I've ever seen before. Smells nice, to boot...
