Modern Vespa

I am considering having my dealer install the Vespa alarm on my GTS. I know it does not offer any real protection, but the dealer said it is very loud, and should be enough to scare away anyone in a parking lot-at least in normally traveled places.

I teach at a local community college, and security tells me they have never had any problems with cars or motorcycles being taken. I try to lock it up, but sometimes there is nothing to lock it to.

Does anyone have an opinion about the alarm?

I have a Vespa alarm and am quite happy with it. The only thing that is "wrong" is that I have to stand next to the scooter to switch it on and off. But then again why would I want to be 300m away?
I would recommend it. I feel better knowing that when I am away and someone tries and moves my scooter it will be noticed!
If you get one installed, just make sure the person installing it adjusts the sensitivity correctly, no use having one on your scoot if it never gets triggered, not even if the scoot is knocked over!

If you're within a couple of yards it's painful.

I tend just to put mine on at night - loud enought to wake the dead!
