So... my vespa is a '66 150 Super VBC and I want to put on VBB rims I have, as well as a VBB headset. Any advice would be much appreciated, starting with whether it is possible. javascript:emoticon('')
Confused
My (vague) understanding is that the VBB headset will fit, but what about the rims? The front fender and side cowls are already VBB... and the handlebar is a fenderlight handlebar. Yes, you got it! It is a Vietnamese resto, but I have been riding it a year and... it seems okay. Matching frame and engine numbers, at least. Maybe I got one of the less horrid ones, but if I did it was just dumb luck. At least I have redeemed myself somewhat by buying an italian market unmolested '76 primavera from the fantastic guys here at First Kick in SF. So instead of converting the handlebar bike copy back into a VBC I'd rather make it look more totally like a VBB since it is half-way and it will never be anything but a vietnamese bike anyway... I love the VBB and hate the VBC... only aesthetically speaking, of course. I already had my friend across the street with his brand new paint booth cover up the horrid two-tone and he did a fantastic job, considering it was his first bike. So this one is just a project for fun and to learn to work more on these bikes... and I already have the rims and just want to make use of them. The nice guys at American Scooter Center sent them to me by mistake but told me I could keep them! Hope I'm not getting you in trouble, Dustin, but you rock! I'm always gettin' screwed and I will remember this forever and spread the word, as I hope I have done here! These guys play fair, and then some!
Ok, better stop now... I've already run on quite a bit! Thanks, all who reply!
