I recently purchased a GTS 250 and have been pretty avid in my reading about care and maintenance. What a great find this site has been. Does anyone have a suggestion for care of the saddle. Should it be cleaned/conditioned, and if so what would be the best application?

Magic eraser works wonders on vinyl. It's amazing how dirty that little white bit of foam can get... Whatever you do, don't put anything slippery on your seat otherwise you'll have a shiny ass and be all over the place!

Thanks,
The urge was to put some leather conditioner on it, but then thought about the slip factor. Sounds like it's best to address issues (stains) as they occur.

Listen to this guy. I tried once to make pretty bike... Armor All'd everything..
Long hard 5 miles home.
Feet slipped of pegs, slid off seat, could not hang on grips...
Looked good though. Looked darn good...

I keep a small plastic bag under seat to keep 'stuff' off my seat. My seat still nice and clean. 4000 miles, never washed..

On the wife's car I use Murphy's oil soap on the leather interior.. No slip and protects it..

I use this http://www.leathertherapy.com
I have a ford king ranch truck and this product is the best I have ever used on my seats.
