Went to leave work last night & my scooter died on me. Got about 1 1/2miles from work & its lost power. Stopped on the side of the road, let it set for a couple of minutes & just would'nt crank but it would turn over. I messed with it for about 30mins & no luck. Pushed it back to work & had someone to pick me up. Take it back to the dealer I guess.

By any chance had you just filled it up recently?

Our knee jerk response to GTs that loose power and won't restart is to disconnect the evap hose. If you haven't done it yet, do it, it's free.

"Crank" and "Turn over" mean the same thing. I believe you mean that the engine would not fire even though the starter was turning or cranking it over.

I can't remember but, when you turn the key on to crank it. Does the oil light normally come on.

Yes. It should go out once the engine starts.

I guess someone tiping it over could have happened but I did check it over good once I pushed it back to work. I park it on pavement plus put a small pad under the kickstand so it want tip over cause of heat. But I did'nt see any signs of that.

Finally got it back today. The problem was that the fuel control valve had went bad. Once it went bad as I was riding, it did'nt send any fuel to the carborator, making it shut off. Well now I got it back & I'm happy.
