after reading hernadem's review on the SX appeal pak-rest, i went ahead and purchased one myself.

https://modernvespa.com/forum/topic30126

the reason: i needed to find a back rest for my passengers that works with the Vespa folding rear rack on my LX150.

here is what i did:

i adjusted the straps on the pak-rest with the front strap much shorter than the rear strap.

i found the best locations for the straps (see photo)

presto! looks and feels great! now all i have to do is wait for all the patches to arrive.........

i'll test it out when my gf and i go on our PCH trip to pismo beach.

thanks hernadem again for your review!

byt: i got the pak from motorsport scooters

That looks like a great alternative to a top case! I like the idea of patches on it.

Fun.
I have one of those for on my GTS, and I ran it behind the seat on the rack, like you did. I also have the canvas case thing by SX, and after zip tying it to the rack, it has been totally great. You just can NOT use the straps that thing comes with. zip ties, pulled tight, make it fully useful though.

thanks for the tips!

yeah, i'm probibly going to use the bungee cargo net to achor it down...

my daughter tried it out and the pak scooted back just far enough for the bar to dig in her back.... Crying or Very sad emoticon

hopefully the net will help pull it forward a bit and keep it down as well.

i'll post pics as soon as my patches from www.modernsuede.com comes in..

-cheers
