Hello,

I have a slight problem, i have recently bought a vespa sportique with a vespa px engine(none electric start)and malossi 166kit with dellorto carb, it has minimal wiring but is a complete engine :S , i have very little knowledge about rewiring but thought i'd give it a try, how hard can it be?!Very Happy
Unfortunatly, i soon found out how difficult it was

The engine has the white, red, two green and a black wire coming form it and still has the the cdi unit which has the spark plug lead coming from it. I had some spare cables which i have fitted to all the relevant parts (accelorator, clutch, Gear changer, choke). But i have no idea where to start with wiring, i have a px loom. do i need a regulator and a rectifier or are these the same things? What other parts will i need just so i can check whether or not the engine starts before i go too far down the line.

Please if anyone has done anything similar to this or has basic knowledge about this issue, it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me in any way. Hopefully i may make one rally this summer if im lucky!! :d:d
