I have been stupid enough to over schedule a vacation before....
not stopping inyellowstone just drove straight through cause we HAD to get to Jackson by nightfall HOW STUPID for me in hindsight.
we most likely drove by a dozen cool little bars where they sell greasy burgers ( exactly what we were looking for) and we had to settle for tourist trap sheite food.
MY ADVICE>>> SLOW DOWN AND WANDER enjoy the people and unexpected places that you find along the way.
if you want a thrill , then do THE CANNONBALL later on for your ya yas
We have been a visit out National Parks all of the time and have a annual pass. Tomorrow morning we will be doing 350 miles (Crater Lake National Park) and will be there by 10am or so. We do not want to see anymore of California and it is a tall state. We want to enjoy the NW and Canada and to get there you need to do lots of riding.
We wondered through store today and found ourselves on the river walk. Had a few beers and went in and out of shopes in old Sacramento. It has been many years since I have been to Sacramento and it will never be a tourist destination but it was more dun than I thought it would be.
In the end I am not sure I have done a very good job of explaining to you how much I am over seeing CA. I hope you get to go back and see Yellowstone. Last year we slowed down and stayed in West Yellowstone and rode snow mobilies into the park. You can't even imagine how awesome it is to see in the winter.
