Just in from the throttle and brake levers are two( one on each side) hole covers. Under the covers is a threaded hole. Any idea what the intent was? Can't find the answer so far and wondered what it is for. Thanks for the correct answer.

I'm almost positive they are the mounting points for a large windsheild.
