I'd be interested in seeing one in person, but as far as I know, there are no Kymco dealers in the greater San Jose area.
Google Maps to the RESCUE!

Sunnyvale is near San Jose -- you're in luck:

And FWIW, since my last posting (10/08), my Vespa dealer - San Jose Vespa - has started to carry the Kymco lineup. Thanks for all the suggestions, fellas!

Ah ha! If you don't mind me asking, which Kymco are you looking at? Just curious.

Nothing right now... I mentioned liking the looks of the Downtown 300 in my earlier post(s), but I don't believe it's out in the U.S. yet. I sat on a 500i (Citycom?) last week, and while it was nice, it's probably not for me. BV500 pricing with Burgman 400 looks... I love Burgers, but I also appreciate their healthy second-hand market where scoots can be had between new LX and used GTS money. A new Citycom 500i would be north of $7000 OTD.

As far as dealers go, if you're colose to PA or NJ it's pretty good. Philadelpnia Scooters, where I bought my Buddy, also carries both the Kymco and Sym lines too... (Almost everything but Vespas, in fact!)

They certainly do give in depth specs for the line. Especially for the 300i.

I think they might become serious competition in the scooter market.
