Modern Vespa

9:00 AM - my girlfriend and I wanted to go for a ride
9:01 AM - realized that riding together is a lot more fun than riding as a passenger.
9:15 AM - called Vespa of Santa Barbara and ordered a Montebianco White S for PM pickup
11:30 AM - got a motorcycle trailer from U-Haul for $12.
2:30 PM - picked up the Vespa
5:00 PM - my LXV now has a "friend"

Btw, does anyone else have this problem with constantly buying Vespas? I just got the LXV three weeks ago and now I'm already on my second Vespa...and eyeing the bigger GTVs (not to mention getting my sales staffs with 5 new Vespa LX150s)...

Once you buy one you're in trouble...you definitely want to buy and ride more! They're just so much fun!

I love the caramel LXV. My wife and I are starting to fight over mine, so I can see another vespa in our future very soon. Though she will probably inherit the LXV and I'll be getting a GTS or some other 250cc scoot. Yes, it is hard to just have one!

...got my S on Friday...aren't they brilliant? Am waiting for chrome kit to arrive but love it to bits. Don't get me wrong, my GTS that I traded in was the love of my life but both of my legs are'shot' and I began to 'drop' the GTS at lights and anywhere where I had to come to a standstill. As you know, the S is a lot lighter. This orange beauty certainly turns heads!!!

The best kind! Need to get back on my small frame therapy plan. I just wish insurance covered it!

I have yet to find and believe that there's not an anti-drug to remedy the insatiable appetite to hoard these little beauties.

Such a chuckle to see the two scoots that lured me for months sitting side by side. I couldn't make up my mind, until my shop told me it might be another 3-6 weeks before he received another Montebianco White S. That helped the decision, so a similar lovely Sienna Ivory LXV now graces my garage. How fortunate that your local shop had the White S in stock when you wanted it. So much more fun to each have your own ride!

now your lxv and s will make babies. there will surely be more in your garage. my vespa is lonely too, the plan is to buy him a friend by the end of the week.

this morning GF and I took the pair of scoots for a nice long loop ride: went from Downtown LA to Venice to Marina Del Ray to Santa Monica to Beverly Hills and back to Downtown. Aside from a dozen idiotic cagers, it was nice to ride together. We got a lot of thumbs up and a lot of "we love your vespa!" shouts. btw, is it me or does part of Sunset Blvd (between Rodeo and Highland) makes your scooter wobble?

Funny to see the photo of those two scoots side by side as they are the two with which I am currently in love. Most likely, I'm buying the Sienna LXV tomorrow morning... But, it's good to see them like that to solidify my choice.

and yes...buying Vespas is a disease. This will be my fourth one (but I only keep one at a time). ET4...GTS 250ie...LX 50 (in white, too pretty!)...LXV 150...?
