Modern Vespa

i went for a wee tour to a medieval village an hour and a half north of madrid. here's a couple of pics of the gts (now with black seat)

Must have been a very nice trip enjoying both the vue and the weather.

Interesting way how your lock is connected/fixed to the GTS!

cheers. it was a pretty hot day, around 35 degrees. the route from madrid is a big motor way that climbs up to around 1900m then back roads, some in quite a poor state but with great views and our own mini grand canyon (which the photo doesn't do justice)

35 degrees would be too much for me now, gotten used to this wet so-called summer by now.
On my trip to Luxembourg I saw rain showers and much humidity

Did you travel via the UNESCO city Segovia (know that one from the guitar player Andrés Segovia) or straight north via the A1

i went straight north on the A1. it's very busy and chaotic leaving madrid although after about 30km it's not so busy but there are a lot of lorries and it's almost all up hill. in general the gts had enough power to keep a good rhythm and a still had bit extra for overtaking.
i've been to segovia many times. it's a beautiful city with restaurants that serve excellent roast suckling pig.

WOW...I don't think I could be more envious. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have gone on that ride! Your scoot is a beauty, mate.
