I'm going to warn you ahead of time - wherever you post or whoever you talk to about your bike ( because it sounds of asian origin ) you're going to take a little heat about it. Prepare yourself, but ultimately realize that people primarily want you to BE SAFE while you're having fun, and there's a lot of stories of really unsafe practices during the restoratiton of those bikes. You'd be best served to have one of those guys look over the bike for any obvious warning signs before logging a ton of miles on it.

In many cases you have no idea how safe one of those machines are until the paint comes off it and you see the quality of the metal underneath.

Hello to fellow Fairfax folks. Just bought my GTV yesterday and pick it up Saturday. How do you fare riding the crazy streets of Fairfax? I'm looking forward to my morning commute from Fairfax to Alexandria down Clifton Road.

Not too bad. People seem to notice me a bit less then on my motorcycle but its gotten better since I installed a Stebel horn .

Clifton has some nice roads to ride on.

Thanks for the warning. I've noticed people aren't fond (to be politically correct) of the asian restorations but I have pretty think skin. I will have mine checked out and plan accordingly.
