Does anyone know if the 400cc MP3 engine fit in the the 500cc frame? Why?

I love the MP3 500 looks but not the 400cc version. And don't like pay the extra $600/year insurance to move to next displacement bracket: 110cc-400cc is $600 401cc-750cc is $1200.

Next question would be if I can special order a 400cc in a MP3 500 frame.

Hank,

I agree with your reasoning about the insurance costs... ICBC doesn't make it easy! Judging from the scarcity of MP3 in general, I'd say your chances of a custom order like this are very slim.

You might have to get to love the way the 400 looks.

Cheers,

Simon

Hi Hank,
Some men ask why, you ask why not
Even if you did, the cost would certainly be several years of $600.
And, your registration would still say 500cc (492.7). How are you going to prove the engine is smaller when MFG Certificate of Origin says it's not?
I hope what I am about to say helps:
If I could go back, I would have got a 400 instead. And I mean it.
There is more storage, speed capabilities are almost identical 88mph & 89mph (just torque varies), and the ride is virtually the same.
Alternatively, do you like the MP3 500 more, would you love to own one?
How can you put a price on love!

I look at it like it's $30 more a month...and the only place that's quoted me over $1000 so far is the stupid gecko. I tried so very hard to like the 250/400 body. I'll pay the extra for my vanity.
