Hi out there!

I've got a question about what oil to use when I service the air cleaner on my GTS 250. Do I have to use the Vespa "air cleaner" oil? Can I use regular motor oil, and should I dilute it with gasoline as the service manual says. What type of oil should I use?

This may seem like a simple question but I am a new Vespa rider. I live in the middle of North Dakota and there are no Vespa dealers and very few Vespa owners for 500 miles in any direction. I am glad I found the Mondern Vespa site and will probably be asking a lot of "simple" questions as time goes on.

If there are any other Vespa riders out in this part of the country let me who and where you are and we can meet up sometime!

Thanks
Doug

You can use motorcycle air filter oil or K&N Air Filter oil. The latter is proably easiest to find at most auto parts store. Both saves you the trouble of mixing ...

Do remember to press (not wring) out any excess. If not, it becomes a little hard to start the bike for the first couple times.
