scooter got knocked over, now i need to align my handlebar with my front wheel. new to scooters. need instructions on how to align them.

u need to remove the plastic headset cover, loosen the clamp, straighten the bars, re-tighten the clamp, ride it for a bit and check its straight - re-adjust if nessesary then put the plastics back on.
takes 30 mins

Gee, when mine went down I just turned the handlebars all the way in the direction I needed to adjust then gave it a nice extra push until it was straight.
Off centre bars are a common thing because for safety reasons, the bars are designed with some give so that you don't impale yourself or something in an accident.

Just remember - if you are retightening them again after removing the entire headset - don't do it so tight that you lose that "give" that they are designed with. It's a pretty important safety feature!
