Boy, I sure hope the elevator was broken. These guys were idiots otherwise. I work at an airport with long escalators and I see people with kids in strollers all the time. Another no-no.

I've actually run over a person on my bicycle before in the feed zone of a race in a similar situation. Luckily I was able to kind of bunnyhop/roll over him without going down. (though i really wanted to make sure he was hurt after being that boneheaded...) Most of the motorcycle drivers in big bicycle races like that are pretty damned good, hope he was ok.

During college (I went to B. U.) Boston switched from the old analog meters to those digital ones. As inventive youngsters we figured out how to get the digital ones to FAIL with nothing more than a gum wrapper...

always had gum, rarely had quarters...
