Come ride with the Southbay Scooterists and VCLG this sunday starting in Los Gatos at the Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company on W Main St at University..

We meet at 10:00am, and usually roll out around 11:00am ish..

The ride route and destination depends on which riders and which scooters show up. Last ride we ended up over in Santa Cruz.

My butt is in exploded view (NOT pretty) from the AmVes trip, and apparently the family missed me (I was surprised about that), and the banana suit really needed a washing after the recent trip.

Not going to be able to share the fun or complain about scooter time.

Wow, great ride today! That route took me past:
- Two DMV offices
- my current place of employment
- 4 former places of employment
- my college
- my high school
- my junior high school
- my sister's high school
- one former residence
- at least one former South Bay Scooter Tag location (Montgomery Hill)
I had a chance to meet a bunch of new faces and had some tasty ices cream, too.

Thanks everyone for coming out for the ride. We had a great showing of new and vintage scoots, and no mishaps.

This was one of our best rides, though I said that last month too. I'm glad everyone had a great time and enjoyed the flats and hills. Wasn't Mt Hamilton great once we hit the new asphalt!! Sorry we ditched some cruizin thru town. It's tough to keep a group all together, but we all regrouped on Willow Glen.

Oh Crap, i do'nt get off work til 12:00 NOON. i'VE gotta find time to make a run with VCLG sometime. Am i the only person that works on sunday?

I was sorry to miss this month's ride (especially since Nicky was nice enough to include me in last months'
pictures) but I drove to see my grandmother for her 100th birthday. I was in Kansas Thursday and Friday, too bad I didn't know you folks were there.

It was interesting to find that New Mexico, Arizona and Oklahoma don't have helmet laws. It was so hot that
I could almost understand why someone might risk not wearing one for a short trip to the store but I'd see
people on the highway with a cap and a T-shirt. My favorite was a guy on a Harley on the Interstate in New
Mexico wearing a do-rag and a wifebeater.

blame the photographers!! where were they ?!? Yup, we saw a bunch of those too. We even saw some 2 up where both weren't wearing proper gear at all.

Slight Rant Below:

Personal freedom is great because you can make up your own mind.

What disturbed me after 6k miles of riding to and from Chattanooga, is the number of dogs loose in the beds of pickups waiting for the right moment to have their apple sized brain say 'chase,' for them to jump out of the truck; I sadly saw results of this as well.

People can make their own decision. Dogs know no better.....

we got an extra cab just so our guy can ride with us

When we were in Lamar, CO and it was like 105 degrees, there was this parked [kidnapping] van with a dog in the front seat looking at us in the parking lot, with all the windows rolled up. poor dog. We told the people at the front desk. They said they were gonna call the cops of the owner doesn't do anything soon.

We never stopped for long enough to take photos, and Pete wasn't there to take photos while standing up riding uphill in the twisties with no hands.

The one picture I took was when we stopped for about 2 minutes.

The VCLG first Sunday of the month ride Sept 07 is cancelled due to the SFSG "So Far So Good Rally". Support SFSG by attending their rally. Besides they're giving away a couple of scoots Sunday.

No Sunday ride So sad, I've been looking forward to this all month long. Well unless anyone else on here plans on still meeting in LG for a ride, I guess I'll have to wait until next month.

So where are you all meeting and at what time?

Last time we met at the north end of Lincoln (below the 280 overpass), somewhere around 7a or 8a. Details won't be given until the organizers have a full count of who's going; translation - we won't out "where" or "when" until a week before.

Best part - my first glimpse of the Silicon Valley Roller Girls!
