I'm back with my weekly tutorial on something lol. I hope this helps some of the riders out there as I have seen at least 3 new topics started asking about cleaning an Mp3. With the help of my friend Mark, who worked in the past as a detailer at a Ford dealership, I've put together a list that's simple and not too time consuming. As always, a couple of things to remember:
1. Everyone has their preferences, these just happen to be mine. Please feel free to list the stuff/ways you clean your baby...that's learning the internet way!
2. Always, always, use a test spot for a new cleaner that is either out of sight or preferably, on an extra piece lying around.
3. Feel free to ask me any questions, I check this forum daily.
4. Finally, I put this up as a nice guide for a weekly clean(or monthly if you're busy I suppose ) and as a way to do it on the cheap. There are many expensive cleaners out there, but I can't always buy a special scooter wax for 20$ a bottle and wait 2 weeks for it to arrive.

Clean out all compartments as water may get in and for cleaning later
I put on my CoolAss cover that is waterproof. Great seat covers for heat/water :http://genuinecoolass.com/
I use a soft sponge for bodywork, soft bristle brush for undercarriage and tires, and Mr. Clean for washing(has Pur Water filter and spot free dry)
Washed and hand dried with chamois
Mother's Back to Black. Remarkable stuff. 'Waxes', cleans and shines anything black or plastic and won't harm body
Make sure to use it even on plastic covered tire well items(not the shocks, disc brakes, etc!)
Told ya, remarkable stuff. This is DRY on back of radiator cover. 1/2 applied on.
Don't forget under the seat and the helmet compartments.
This is why its worth doing them too :)
The black all done. No on to the waxing!
For wax, I use a large Mother's powerball and ICE clear wax(no white residue!).
After applying liberally with powerball, and letting dry, I buff with terry cloth.
Old military trick. Using DISTILLED WATER, very lightly mist and rebuff for mirror shine.
Sign of goodness...you can see my storage shelves in my bike.
Tires-very important on the Mp3. I use TW cleaner for cleaning, then polish with Mother's, and E1 gel. The red mother's bottle is for touch ups during the week.
Using a lil powerscrubber(tho a tire brush would work)I rub in Mother's polish. I buff out with powerball mini(not pictured, sorry).
CAREFULLY apply gel to just INSIDE of tire(slippy tire bad). Pic of finished tire.
For glass and seat, I use Armor All. It has a bad wrap for seats, but I find it is wonderful if you cover your seat when you're not using it or garage it.
Seat all done.
