I was going to get it yesterday but weather.com lied to me and said I'd get rained on. I can't get it today but tomorrow (weather permitting) it's all mine! Although Ratstar, you are much closer then me and you haven't had a tag yet. . .

I am going tonight as soon as I feel the rush hour traffic is a little less. It's a gorgeous day for riding.

Did you make it back today? I was thinking about going today if it was still a target but I heard traffic inside the beltway was horrible due to Patriot Day events (and road closures).

I went last night but it got dark right before I got there. I was disappointed. I guess winter really is coming. Gah! We are scooter tag underachievers!

On a side note, I dropped off my scooter for the break in service today. I went to Arlington Vespa, and I am having separation anxiety. I will pick it up tomorrow after work.

I'm taking mine in to Arlington on Monday but will wait for it. They 'said' a couple a of hours. I'll wander around that lovely part of Arlington while they work on her. Let me know how your service goes, Christina.

Going from Alexandria to Bailey's is the correct direction - just keep going. If you get to the Beltway, you went too far.

The name of the overall place is two words, each word has two syllables and neither word includes "a" "i" or "u". And now that I'm thinking about it, it is an odd name for the place.

My MP3 is parked in front of the right hand side (as you enter) of the entrance.

You can eat well here. Many choices. In the middle of the parking lot are two flag poles, one with a US flag, the other with the flag of another country.

And nearby (within approximately 1 mile) are a large home improvement store, a Big 3 auto dealer, a large department / discount store with a name that many pronounce as if it was French, etc.

Oh, and it is not in Alexandria or Arlington.

Maybe we should have our next meet up at one of the places here!

And that is why I think the name is so odd. Adam and Eve came from a different continent. Just guessing that it was a substitute name for paradise, i.e., a version of "There is so much opportunity in America - the streets there really are paved with gold!"

Or, create a little bit of paradise (i.e., home) here in America.

It is a great place. I have my own theory on the name, but I can't tell the story without giving too much away. I was there on Sunday, but I was in the cage, not the scooter.

Congrats, Dragon. Can't believe how well you get around on that LX50. Did you stop and eat at one of the great Vietnamese restaurants there at the center? Lots of good food.

I went to Vietnam on vacation this last April, I found another "Eden Center" in Ho CHi Minh City, District 1 (Saigon) ... between Dong Khoi (formerly Tu Do) and Nguyen Hue, as I remember. I am told the one in Saigon existed in some form before the fall of South Vietnam, so it is probable the marketplace there in Falls Church was named after the one in Saigon. I think the clock tower there in Falls Church was meant to replicate the one in Ben Tanh market, also in Saigon. If you like scooters, you would be amazed to see the scooter traffic there in Vietnam.

well it is no longer a 50, it morphed to 78.8 so oboy No I didn't eat there but was amazed at volume of cool looking places. I will revisit this place many times . Again chug thx for another , as always , interesting tag. Current tag soon

Eden Center is home to many great places to browse and eat. Also has a good Asian grocery store. It is located in Falls Church, at Seven Corners: Rte 50, Rte 7, and Wilson Blvd.

My long time favorite is Song Que - Vietnamese sandwiches and bubble drinks - try the crispy grilled pork sandwich with a bubble drink, a good dinner for under $7. 6773 Wilson Boulevard. They are moving into the Four Sisters space soon, as Four Sisters is moving out towards Tysons.

Another longstanding favorite is Viet Bistro, just off Wilson Boulevard, near Rt. 7 (approximately 6801 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA), 703-538-7575, in the corner of the mall closest to Wilson Blvd.
