Love the extended range tank. What is it from? Did you just plumb it from bottom of tank through the nose of the seat frame and tap a hole into the side of the existing tank? So you fill it once from the accessory tank?

I want to do something like this so I'm curious to see more images of how it's plumbed and which tank you used.

It is a GN125 Tank. That is simply connected to the hose of the original tank with a V-Connector. When the first tank is near empty I open the additional one. You only need to be careful when it is all full and leave it open it will get the original to flow over. that way I had a huge range for long distance rides.

Connected to hose of original one on the outside of the frame where the original hose exits the frame before going into carb? Got any photos of it?

It is all connected under the gas tank INSIDE the frame and then runs into the carb. Sorry I do not have pictures of it.

So you had to take the main tank out every time you needed to switch tanks?

That seems like a lot of work on the road.

No As you will see on THIS PIC the Motorbike tank comes with a Switch under the tank that you open and close. from there the fuel line goes into the frame onto that V-Connector. So after the main tank under the seat is emptied you just switch on the Motorbike tank and it fills the other one. no pump not dismantling. BUT you need to always remember to close it again otherwise youz get the fuel running out of the main tank over the bike.

Gotcha.. so you replaced the sight glass with a switch for the fuel lines. Premix only. Or is that the switch right on the tank outlet before the fuel line comes out? Hard to tell in that photo. Either way, love the solution. I want to try that some day.

The switch is DIRECTLY under the tank and the line enters where the oil glass would be.

Time to dust ol Bloopie off and start making her into my "touring" machine. Giant box on the back and crash bars are on the list for now. Haven't decided what else yet.

10 years waiting for a mechanic

2023 at the Rally of the Vespa Club de France, in the mountains of Aix en Provence.
Its a rare 1984 125cc PX 125, German model. Rare, because they mostl sold 80cc or 200cc here.

I've been without a scooter ever since an uninsured driver destroyed my Rally 200 with his SUV. He did some damage to me that day too. That was 16 years ago. I had children and not much money. I had to sell what was left of my Rally. Now my children are grown and I searched for months until I found a scooter I wanted. My wife and I traveled 500 miles to San Francisco for this bike. Here it is on the way home. My 1979 P200E.
