Alright, finally got the time to put on my CRG Lane Splitters and Jettin Bar ends (thanks for hooking up the matte black for me Nyle/John). I've wanted them for a while and am really psyched to get them on. I filled in the holes where the stock mirros were (thanks sfarchie - fellow MVer) using epoxy - sanded it down and then repainted them - was very easy. Also, got rid of my GTS seat and replaced with a plain, black, humpless GT seat.

I have to say, I've ridden a lot of bikes, I think the CRG mirrors are one of the best mods I've done. My line of sight is drastically better than with the stock mirrors. With the convex design, I can see everything behind me, a huge improvement. I really feel like they make riding a lot safer.

Also, I've got the GIVI 460 top case with the silver matching lid. The color match is really close and I think looks great due to the Silver/Matte combo. I know people say the smaller case is better but I love the 460. I can fit a briefcase in it, 2 full face helmets etc. I frequently ride my 25 mile ride from NJ into NYC and never have any problems due to its size.

Scorpion exhaust - no problems with it yet!

no more Mouse ears!

LOVE the CRG Mirrors and the Jettin ends are perfect for the MOD

Welcome to Raider Nation!

Seriously nice deal on the front stripes and removing the mirrors gives it a nice sporty look.
My Scorpion is working out fine as well by the way. Maybe we're the lucky ones

Did the CRG mirrors or the Jettin bar end have to be modified to fit so nicely together?
Also did you use the 4oz or 15 oz barends from Jettin?
Nicely done modification and an inspiration for me.
I may have to steal your idea
Thanks

The only modification you have to do is replace one of the screws. A fellow MVer passed this on to me: "To spare you time from figuring which size bolt to get, I got the 5mm x 16mm cap screw socket bolts from Home Depot and they fit perfectly. Only $.48 for 2. But you may as well get 4 because they only came in black while the CRG bolts are silver. The black looks nice since the arm is black." Other than that, plug and play! As for the bar ends, I went with the heavier ones. Seems the general feeling is that heavier is better for reducing the wobble. The guys at Jettin are great. One warning - the CRG mirrors are expensive - $85 each - but they are solid - again, I love the modification, now I can actually see what's going on behind me!

The only other thing you may want to do is fill in the holes from where the old mirrors were. If you want to do it, I can pass along the "How to". Good luck!

yep, there are two ways to do it, 1) cut back the grip to make room to mount them to handle bars or 2) they have a little extender that you mount to the bars and then mount the CRGs. Good luck.

yeah, if you can just had over the rims it should be about $15 to $35 per wheel assuming the person who is doing it does a lot of this stuff.
