i must be cursed.
i've had my 125 lx since july. in this time it has been towed twice back to the dealership because it won't start. during this time the bike has had it's 1000 km service and this went ok.
is it possible my bike is a dud? my concern is that once the warranty ends i'm going to be left with a very expensive lump of metal.

find another dealer or an independent service provider.
these bikes are reliable, you may just have one that's experiencing a few teething problems. get that mess sorted and you should be golden.

best,

I had same problem
Ok true we have different bikes mine is a GTS check the code light. . .trust me it is most likely the immobiliser not recognising the transponder (a small chip in the key) i had to get it completely waterproofed. Does it only not start after its been raining or gotten wet??

Its a pain in the arse but it gets covered on the warranty. . .

Yes, name names please for your dealer - my LX gets rained on often and always starts so this water logged thing sounds a bit odd.

Could be a duff battery, have you tried kick starting it?

Ooh you are game! But then so am I. I even managed to impress Genie when I had to do it on the Brighton Camping weekend.

Trust me it will be the antenna on the immobiliser. Check code light

http://manuals.wotmeworry.org.uk/useful%20info/Immobilizer_Fault_Finding.pdf

try that look at page 6

then if it is the transponder not being detected then you will need to get them to water proof it. Will be under warranty my local (unfortunately 70 miles from me) did it for me and got it waterproofed. Things like this should have been done before selling. So it is not Piaggio's fault it is the garage who sold it to you . . . . .

i don't really want to name the dealer at the moment until i find out a little more about what is going on.
i'll be dropping the master key into them today and will let you know what happens. thanks for all your suggestions - these immobilisers are a bit of a pain really
