So I picked up my "new" ET8 yesterday, barely run in with just 44,000kms on the clock

We bought it from a very nice, but frankly rather obsesive and deeply religious lady.

Now, some of you might keep fairly good service records of your bikes. For me it's limited to putting all the receipts in a file, with all motorvehicle related receipts. This seems sufficient.
This lady, well.... I defy anyone to find a scooter with a more complete "service" history. With the bike came 3 logbooks, neatly laid out, starting at the back of each book and working forward detailing - EVERY individual journey, usually including the street address (even the address of her Church which was always the same, but usually written out anyway), and the mileage after, every receipt for every tank of gas neatly taped in, each time she checked the tire pressure she'd record the before and after pressure. it goes on, but you get the picture....
It makes for facinating reading, truely a tribute to her and I must say for a bike that's done 44,000kms, it looks in better condition than most I've seen..
In honour of her, I am naming the bike J.C.

I just had to show the "Before" photos.

Oh, i did not know that ET8's came out as 150s too. I've had a couple of 125's but not 150s. I'm certainly not surprised about the 44,000 kms on the odometer.
Does it also say Vespa Taiwan on your dash?

Both of ours are badged ET8 and registered as ET4. Both are Italian 150s.
The badge actually says 150.
I think because we're in the Asia/Pacific region, we get treated as part of the Asian market. hence the 8.. Personally, I have no beef with the number 4.

You were right, it needed More, so we've installed this sweet as Jesus badge in place of the standard Piaggio badge on the horn cover.

The Jesus Wept thing reminds me of one of the "Hellraiser" movies. I have no idea which one, because I can't watch that stuff anymore. I either think it's stupid or see monsters in my closet. (Always turns out to be a pile of clothes.)

I was also going to say, "Sybil, much?" Wow. I feel sorry for her kids, if she has any. That might be a sickness. I log my repairs, but I don't care about how much gas I put in or when, or where I go. Stalking myself takes up too much time.
