Has anyone used these bulbs in a GT200 turn signal housing? The are the 13-LED style that I also have in my brake light housing, which works great, by the way.

Specifically, I'm referring to the "High Power 13 LED Amber Parking Turn Bulbs 1157 2057" type that comes two to a package for $19.00. These bulbs have the staggered locking lugs like the OEM incandescent amber bulbs.

A bit of a sidetrack to your post.If your interested in better visibility I ran across this product. The Tri-Star XP module, which turns your rear turn signals to both brake & running lights. The module even comes with a load equalizer for bikes with LED's.Check it here:

Thanks for the information. I might consider that if I know for sure these v-led bulbs will fit into my existing housings.

Do you have a link to where you bought yours? I wonder if they are the same as the GTS signal bulbs. Finding any staggered locking replacing bulbs are hard to find.

Thanks in advance

Hey Manny how's it going? I bought my leds from www.v-leds.com. Like you've mentioned a couple of times, they are 'bright ass leds'! I'm thinking of replacing the turn signal bulbs with leads also. So I'll order some and try to fit them.

Talk to you soon! Enjoy!

Although these LED cluster bulbs have staggered locking lugs (one lug is higher on the base than the other), they may not be at 150° opposing as the Vespa OEM incandescent bulbs are. The standard automotive 1157 bulb, which this LED cluster replaces, may have 180° staggered lugs instead. I may have to actually phone v-leds and ask this pointed question, since the photos are not absolutely clear on the web site. I suppose that one of the lugs could be filed off to fit, though, as long as the LED cluster itself has enough clearance to fit in the lens housing.

FarSideMan: Check out this thread, if you haven't already: GT200: Lightbulb Types

I'm fairly certain that 1157 bulbs will not fit in the turn signal sockets. Nor would they be appropriate if they did, as 1157 is dual filament (I think).

You may be right. I'm not spending $19.00 a pair for these bulbs until I know for sure that they will work.

What's with the moniker, "Petty Tyrant?" I hadn't noticed that before now. That's funny. More power to you! You're doing a great job, Jess! Clap emoticon
