MP3 top case lower pad back rest

I just installed a top case for an mp3. It has a pad on the case but looks like it's missing a maybe a lower pad or something on the back end of the seat. All that came with the kit is a plastic panel that must be used in place of the original padded one. Looks kind of funny. Is this right? Anyone have any pics of there mp3 with a top case?

Yes, unfortunately that's right. Only a backrest on the top case and that ugly metal exposed beneath. But a great topcase that has invaluable storage
