I have a burgman 400. For safety reason I am looking at another scooter with antilock brakes and a MP3 500. which one should I get, with safety in mind. MP3 has 3 wheels but no antilock brakes or should I get 2 wheels with antilock. help.

Well - ABS can help under certain circumstances but they're still no magic bullet - especially on a bike. They will not help with axial drift (sliding sideways/tangentially). So if all your stops will be perfect inline stops maybe they'll help. Perhaps you can elaborate on your reasons for wanting/needing ABS?

That type of decsion is a personal one can only really be decide by you and test riding both. I have riden many m/c over the years and the MP3 500 is a great scooter and the braking on it is very good. as far as the anti locking brakes I personally don't care for them, I feel they can give you a false sense of security and that you might be riding faster in a situation than you need to. As far as the choices Test ride a MP3 and feel how it corners it does not give pr slip through a corner and in the wet it still tracks awsome.

In many 'dodgy' situations, yes. There's double the front tyre contact and it is spread well apart. Almost impossible to low-side - but a sea of diesel on a roundabout will tip any bike. The front brakes are awesome! You'll be able to stop in a far shorter distance than with the Burgman, even with its ABS.

you need to test drive a MP3 and really see for yourself the handling of the scoot.
Safer??? that a line I won't cross , but my take is Do I feel safe on a MP3 as compared to a tradional m/c or scoot . YES , I have 40 years on m/c racing in the dirt when I was young and teaching MSF classes in the military and the MP3 is a great bike. I will keep it in my stable for my riding pleasure.
