Argh... you torture me so...

... I have a huge head and always need to try stuff on before I buy (I wear a XXXL, yes, 3X, HJC)... I wish I knew what size Roof I'd be, that price is genius.

So do these fit strangely? They are VERY cool. I'm thinking of going full instead of half. I have a small, narrow crown, so helmets fit me a bit funny anyways. I would love to have the flat black!

This is a pretty decent deal even with the exchange rate and shipping - am sourcing a new helmet and really interested in the Boxer V8 but may have to just go with the V after seeing this... Anybody have any DOT stickers?

i'll be taking myself off to the local rude motorcycle shop this weekend, to jam my head into one of those lovely boxer V's and see if it fits. i will then, without feeling guilty for depriving a local business of my custom (they are very rude) order it over the internet

They don't look like the coolest helmets in the world (look like underwater helmets or something) but I am gutted I bought a helmet recently , cost 82, after sale, should have waited and spent the extra moolah on something that costs more (and therefore better protection)

darn it .... i thought i didn't have a roof-shaped head but i tried one on today and it appears that the boxer V is differently designed than earlier versions. it fit beautifully and it's very comfy.

however .... i don't like the fact that the chin piece is secured with two feeble-looking plastic clips - i don't like the fact that there are two of them, which means you can't flip it up with one hand. i also don't like the 'seatbelt buckle' style closure, i much prefer the D-ring.

i also don't really need a new helmet just yet - my shoei is only 18 months old and still going strong.

can you sense me trying to talk myself out of an un-needed purchase? somebody come over and hide my credit card pleeeeeeease.... Crying or Very sad emoticon

Ok I will talk you out of it. They are not very well made and they are noisy. They are also poorly vented and fog up easily. Very cool looking though. Stick to Shoei or Schuberth. When you need a new helmet go C3 in white. Will cost you £100 more than a Shoei but better built and European not Japanese.

Sorry Dave didn't mean to rain on your parade!!! I am sure you will be very happy coming from an open face! Genie coming from a Multitec might not be!

Please note that I am trying to persuade her to buy a Schuberth C3 which is 3 times the cost.

I've had my roof boxer 5 for a full season now, and I don't agree with your assessment.

Poorly made? Mine is holding up very well. The only complaint I have is that I don't like the mechanism that releases the straps which hold the 'face' closed. Sometimes its more difficult than it should be to release the straps.

Otherwise I love the helmet! It looks fantastic! Love the ability to convert to an Open-Face quickly. I thought the venting works just as well as any other helmet I've owned, and it is very comfortable. Yes its noisy, but its just as noisy as my old Nolan - what modular isn't (other than the shoei).

Ordered a white Boxer V and it arrived yesterday a.m. so used it a few times already - pretty happy with the fit and comfort - is actually as quiet as my Shoei Multitec. This is a nice helmet! -if anyone is on the fence...

What is the sizing comparison like? What size Shoei vs Boxer... fit etc...

... I'm trying to figure out what size I would need (although I suspect they don't make one big enough - I wear a XXXL HJC...)

I wear medium on all helmets I wear - I do think the Boxer feels a tad bigger compared to my Shoei and I ordered a 58 Medium vs a 57, maybe they have similar options to their larger sizes? Not sure, returning a helmet from Europe could get costly but was worth the risk for me - the new helmet is great. Now too bad some of my risky arse investments haven't brought me too much luck lately.
