Scooter & an Eagle. Either a mural or sculpture.......

This is a tough one for me. Rode practically around the island to find an eagle anything. The closest thing I've come across is an eagle on the Homeland Security Sign, but I'm scared to park my Scoot near there. Busy street and I feel like the agents might come storming out the door and shoot me. Alternative is taking a pic of F-15 Eagle taking off, but the timing and distance is very difficult.

Anyone else havin trouble with locating an Eagle??? Sorry wrecks. I'll give someone else a chance before modifying this one.

I just saw one tonight that I'll try to nab tomorrow even though it is raining.

TAG ! How about 2 eagles on the wall mural. Yeah baby. America & Mexico. The rain started up again & I've just ducked out of the rain for now. I'll probably want to post the next tag tomorrow.....but it's coming.....

Follow that yellow brick road!

Good tag!!! Not sure we have any yellow brick roads here in Birmingham. I'm going to have to take a look and see if I can find a scarecrow or something out as we approach Halloween.

No yellow brick roads down here. Scarecrow, maybe they have some hung for holloween. Haven't seen one yet.

How about this dude? I think I can take a picture of him. Have to stop in the middle of the street, tip him money, and take a picture before I get honked at. I drove by today, but he was not there. I guess he work later in the evening.

I'll leave it up to you guys. I would have said "no yellow brick roads" too. But I was driving up to tag something in particular and passed that sidewalk, and thought it would be fun. Have never noticed it before.

Go ahead and tag something that reminds you of The Wizard of Oz! Maybe it's your little dog Toto, or an old lady who rides a bicycle and looks like the wicked witch of the West.

We should be able to come up with some scarecrows or something at this time of year. Maybe give it a few days and see if someone can come up with something with a Wizard reference. Those two pics are really close as far as representing the tin man, that's for sure.

I have seen that this is a VERY creative group.... I think someone will come up with something clever.....

Are yellow brick roads still a go?

Brick roads are very common around here. I live one one (red bricks, alas.) I would have taken some pics sooner but I couldn't get the time.

The problem is, after the best part of a century of use all the colors are now "-ish" colors: red-ish, orange-ish, tan-ish, and yellow-ish.

Yellow bricks are still the least common color. The brick road in front of my house, after years of use and repair (with whatever color happened to be on hand) would more properly be described as plaid.

In the absence of bright sunlight, the bricks don't look bright yellow in the pics, but yellow bricks, they are.

If it's good to go, let me know and I'll post a follow-up.
If we've moved on, no problem, it was a good excuse for an early morning ride.

Thanks for staying with the theme.... I was hoping someone would find something to stay with it.... those cobblestones look much more precarious than the ones that I parked on.

Are you still riding in Pittsburg? How's the weather there?

The funny thing is, that it's hard not to ride on a brick road around here. Or belgium block, or cobblestone. There's even a small old street around here that's made of oiled wood. It's still well maintained for its historic interest.

I'm still riding. After 4 weeks of absolutely miserable weather, today is the first day of an Indian Summer and it's (relatively) warm and sunny for the next few days. I never put my scooter up for the winter, but I still follow a hard rule about riding in snow or ice.

Not a scooter tag, but I came across this brick road today...closed for decades. I guess horses could manage what cars cannot.

An interesting or unusual street light/lamp post.

This is in Avalon, Pa.
Avalon is Gaelic for apple orchard. Which I think the whole town was, at one time.

haha there is a light post in town that my wife says looks like a part of the male body. I'll have to remember where that is and go and find it.

Halloween Decorations

Someone should go get this tag before the weekend... Halloween is almost here!

I'll get one tonight if someone doesn't beat me to it.

I guess they might not have WAY to many but they have a lot.

This house is covered in way too many cob webs. Behind the wall are yard decorations and at night they do a haunted house.

In keeping with the Halloween theme...... scooter and mausoleum or cool tombstone.
