I didn't think this tag would stall the game for almost a month, especially this time of year. A good excuse to get out of the city and enjoy a nice day of riding. Give it a few more days, then just get a farmers market or something.

Showed up to Page Farms, only to find that all of their produce for self-picking is out of season. That's the barren field behind the scoot. Ah well. Still got a pic of where the farm is, should I need to return.

The original tag was good one. I immediately thought of roadside stands, which are common around here (plus, I got me thinking about picking up some fresh corn...which just fits in the pet carrier), but I didn't come across any self-picky ones.

I'm still planning on heading out for the corn, though. 8)

PS: Milk crates rock!

I was hoping to fill it with produce! I'll grab the next tag hopefully before Irene hits. Although, "Your scooter in a hurricane" would be a sick tag. Might stall the game though.

And yes, milk crates rock! I bought a top case, but I can't get past my very useful milk crate.

welcome Mark! I'll sit out this one for a few days, being that I could probably scoot in any compass direction and find a military base within 5 miles. Nice raspberry tag.

This must be harder than I thought. Aren't there at least National Guard armories in most towns?

Here is Naval Base Point Loma. And surprisingly, most military bases aren't keen on having their pictures taken.

go get a tag of EITHER... a local government building (this is the San Diego County Administrative buildign) .. OR... a building from the 1930s. (just to help keep things moving

Very true on that! Back in January, I did a local adventure to get a picture of all Metro station pylons in the DC area. That's 86 stations total. When I got to the Pentagon, I got as close as I could and snapped this photo. Before I could get my helmet back on, I was swarmed with Pentagon police on foot and a K-9 cruiser. They tried to confiscate my camera, but I had to talk my way out of it saying I worked for the FD and tell them my crazy nerdy adventure why I took the photo. They let me off with a just a reprimand. Apparently the entire Pentagon area, including parking lots and the transit station are off limits to photography.

I'll second (third) that.

There is a small base in my area, Army Engineers I think. I remembered feeling a bit nervous way back when I pulled along side the road to take some airport photos for a previous tag, and I wondered if I would attract too much attention at the base because the only pic I could get was by pulling right up to the fence.

When the tag sat for a while, I decided to give it a try, but got rained out.

I'm glad someone got it.

Nine days is a long time to go without getting a local government building. I would expect everyone has one in their town/city/municipality.

Here is my new Stella in front of Town Hall in Lenox, Massachusetts.

I'm trying get get at least 400 miles on the scooter (up to 190 now) so I can get my first service and sidecar installed at the same time. These scooter tag things are great lunchtime assignments to get me out and riding.
